Meet Mike
Sherwood is home.
Growing up playing baseball at Sylvan Hills Optimist, attending Victory Baptist School, graduating from Sylvan Hills, and eventually choosing to return, all reinforced something that's never changed: this community matters.
The 2025 sales tax/bond initiative led to hundreds of conversations with residents across Sherwood. Across those conversations, one message surfaced again and again: people wanted more opportunities to be part of the conversation before important decisions were made.
That's why this campaign is built around a simple idea: better conversations lead to better decisions.
More than 30 years leading organizations, managing budgets, building teams, and solving problems have shaped a leadership philosophy centered on listening, communicating, and accountability. Two terms on the Little Rock Education Commission and more than a decade teaching and serving in recovery ministry reinforced the same lesson: leadership is about serving people.
Those same principles will guide every decision made as Mayor.
